How is temperature related to the physical change of a substance?

The material is made up of both elements and compounds. Elements are made up of a single sort of atom, whereas compounds are made up of many atoms. Chemical changes can be used to separate the compounds. Solids have atoms that are densely packed together. Yet, atoms with freedom are more common in liquid things. The rise in temperature causes a change in the atoms of the material. Yet, the drop in temperature causes energy loss in the atoms. An electron is in an excited state when it tends to momentarily occupy an energy state larger than the grounded state. For example, when temperature is added to the mix, solid water transforms into liquid water.
